Day 10
Sunday

I actually slept last night!!  I had Valerian root and sleepy time tea!  Oh heavens, a full night of sleep was amazing!!


Well today I measured myself...in all the places in which I wish to be smaller :)  If that wasn't a "ugh" moment I don't know what else could be.


I didn't work out as much as I had planned due to lack of time but I did do some.  Not too proud at the moment.

I stuck with my diet and ate

Chicken Ranch wrap
snacked on some carrots and orange bell pepper and had a pudding....
I'm pretty sure that was all.

My stomach has been a little upset since the Chicken Ranch Wrap so when Carolyn and I worked out I only felt more nauseous.  We did some Zumba and the Insanity Fitness test (only what I could do on my knee).  Again...we should have done more...I just wish I hadn't had a sour stomach :(  

TOMORROW I WILL KICK BUTT HARDER!! I WILL I WILL I WILL!!!

I'm honestly exhausted.  It has been just one of those days where you have so many things to do, not much time to do it in and then you feel like you didn't accomplish anything.  Yeah...one of those days.

Day 9
Saturday

Well once again I did not sleep more than possibly 2 hours last night.  The Melatonin didn't work and I'm quite frustrated, not to mention exhausted.  I was so exhausted today that my skin was hypersensitive and everything hurt.  SUCKS!

I had a piece of whole wheat toast with 2 Tbls of almond butter and 1 tsp of raspberry preserves.  Almond butter is...different.  I'm not sure I like it better than peanut butter but it's not bad.

I decided that today should be my hiatus day since I was having issues keeping my eyes open.  Let's be clear...I can fall asleep but I don't go into REM and I am easily awakened.  SERIOUSLY!?


For our next "snack-meal" I had a BLAO lol.  Bacon (turkey bacon that is), Lettuce, Avocado and Onion sandwich on whole wheat toast with a little bit of olive oil mayo and mustard.  It was quite yummy and actually pretty.  I realized after I ate half that I should have taken a picture to post...my bad.

Later in the day I had a ranch chicken wrap.  1 6inch whole grain tortilla with 1 Tbls of fat free ranch dressing, red peppers, lettuce and 3 oz of chopped up seasoned chicken.  I snacked on the rest of the bell pepper while the chicken cooked.  I didn't realize that I would like bell peppers!!  I DO!  (well I don't care much for the green ones if they are uncooked...YUCKY!)

I was relaxing when I received a phone call from Allie.  Her puppy Cleo passed away.  It was sudden and just out of no where.  I did what I could to comfort her with the help of Carolyn and we took poor Cleo to Banfield to get cremated.  I'm so sad for Allie :'(  After that I went home and just relaxed...I'm still worried about Allie though.

For a mid afternoon snack I had a cold cut platter.  2 oz of turkey breast, 2 oz of ham and 1 oz of swiss cheese on 5 pieces of wheat Melba toast.  I also had a cup of my pudding since I was getting a pretty decent headache and needed a little sugar (sugar-free pudding and I needed sugar?  I mean...CHOCOLATE)

For a quick little pick me up and extra UMPH (plus I took motrin and excederine) I had 3 cut up strawberries and some stevia.  I did try a new Life Choice Chocolate Mint High Protein Bar...OMG SO GOOD!  I will finish it tomorrow.

Camron got off work from Papa Johns and we decided to do a light workout at the Commons Gym.  I was on the elliptical for 10 mins, speed between 5.9-6.4, 0.80miles and 117 calories.  My knee was a little sore today...I might need to call my surgeon in Utah because it's under the kneecap that it "hurts/"sore.

I'm not too thrilled with my progress today but I'm not unhappy about it either.  I would really like to try and lose 3-4 lbs this next week.  Carolyn and I have agreed we are going to push ourselves to the max.  As of right now we are just going to be there for Allie...not sure what we can do for her except be there.

I think I am going to try Valerian Root tonight with Sleepy Time tea and PRAY I GET SOME SLEEP!  Tomorrow I am going to kick my butt!

**I am going on vacation with my boyfriend and his parents in April!  I'm excited but would really like to be IN GREAT SHAPE FOR THIS TRIP...hello it's FLORIDA and....you guessed it DISNEY WORLD!  I've never been...YAY!!!!**

Day 8 Friday 2.24.12
I WEIGHED IN THIS MORNING 
lost this week 2 lbs. 
total lost since the beginning 5 lbs.
Left= 28 lbs.


Since I am just now creating this blog I will begin today instead of backtracking.  My goal is to maintain my workout regiment and diet while keeping myself motivated and I felt this would be a good motivational tool to use.   I will be posting recipes (some might be repeats) and include my daily goals.  Obviously my writing will eventually become better and hopefully less dry to read.  Maybe I will include some thoughts and feelings throughout this process.  So here I shall begin.  (I may or may not add a before picture and a weekly updated picture...not too proud of my body just yet)


Woke up (nah just kidding not starting at the WAY beginning..)
I had a 60 calorie pudding for breakfast and since today is Friday and it is now Lent, Camron decided to take me to get a fish taco and black bean burrito from Taco Bueno for lunch.  As much as I enjoyed the burrito I realized it was 490 calories!! YIKES!


Around 3:00 Allie and Carolyn accompanied me in our daily workout session.  Instead of Zumba and Kinect Your Shape we just headed to the gym and worked on the treadmill and elliptical for about 25 minutes.  


I went 20 mins with a minimum speed of 6.5 and maximum 7.8 (depended on my knee) and then the last minute busted butt by hard-coring it at 9.8!  YEAH!!  233 calories burned!!


Camron took me to dinner where we had sushi and a large salad with ginger dressing.  GO TO SAKE on MAIN ST. NORMAN IF YOU WANT AMAZING SUSHI!!!!
